Radcliffe residents Mr and Mrs B L Cook of Cedar Rapids visited Mrs Cook s sister Mrs John Kumrow Sr and their relatives in nearby towns. Bertha Hoffman visited Chicago, Walter Hoffman stayed with his parents in Radcliffe and his base is now St Louis. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Harold Hiller of Jewett on Friday Aug 31. A new sign was donated for the Ladies Beat Room and educational notices were shared about local schools and fairs.
West Ellis Mrs Will Mitchall Iowa Falls spent Monday afternoon with Miss Cynthia Stuart. Families Will Clingerman and others visited. students from this vicinity attend Town Falls school. Several local residents hosted guests and helped with farm work. Hardin county fair attendance noted as enjoyable by many. Maple Grove School yard work reported.
Minors visit with relatives and neighbors, while adults attend political and social events. Glynn Brightwell leads Comrades class practice for Rally Day. Clint Clingerman delivers potatoes at Iowa Falls. Farmers Elevator Co in Racine holds meeting. Mopie Grove school dismissed for county fair. Ford roadster bought. several residents report sickness but improve. Local families share meals and attend concerts and hog deliveries.
Point Pleasant notices list numerous social visits and gatherings. Families such as Pale Beasley Trout Mitterer and Last appear visiting members at various homes, with reunions, school starts, and a park gathering noted.
Miss Opal Sheldon aids at the Matt Kennedy home in Eldora this week. E W Phipps of Green Castle Mo visits the Harry Burns home. Mr and Mrs Jessie Clinton stay with Walter Campbell. Henry Ziesman makes sorghum this week. Harry Burns family visit Opal Rays in Eldora. Carol Sheldon and Harry Burns help Dreier Bros fill silos. The Burns pair call on H J Wehrman.
