Standard Bearers Hold District Convention at Methodist Church
The Standard Bearers district convention gathered at the Methodist church with over seventy-five out of town guests. Miss Emma Amburn opened with devotions and spoke of Burma on both programs. A banquet for ninety-two featured toastmaster R J Vandergort Rein neck, a pageant by Grundy Center girls, and a solo by Helen Biebar. The Eldora Foreign Missionary Society sponsored the day and received praise for entertainment and arrangement.

Automobiles Cause Wreck Near Eldora Injures Foster Woman
Mrs Foster suffered serious injuries after a Chevrolet sedan driven by the Foster family overturned in a collision while passing Dr Molegard on a road east of town. The two other occupants escaped injury. Mrs Foster was taken to Eldora hospital.

Mrs Ab bie'Riinkle delivered a presentation speech as the flag was received by Mrs W M Satchel who offered thanks for the Sunday School. The organization is praised for gifts of flags to Sunday Schools and the high school. They are also installing a new heating plant at Nazett Garpee necessitating a collar dig in the back room.

Flower Show Draws Large Crowd in Ackley
Ackley held its second annual flower show with nearly 900 more entries than last year across thirty classes. Prof. Vale and professor Ke judged the displays as the Ackley band played nightly, attracting visitors from four counties. A new bakery oven was installed at Eldora Bakery, capable of twenty four hundred loaves per hour, showcasing local business growth.
