Mrs Ed Ruxton Killed Saturday in Eldora Road Accident
A fatal crash on the Grundy Center road near Eldora killed Mrs. Ed Ruxton on Saturday evening. Her husband and daughter Lois rushed her to Eldora hospital, where she died after brief consciousness. Shirk of Grundy Center reported the accident to authorities. The obituary notes Augusta Lettow Ruxton born October 23, 1880 in Pommern Germany, came to America at age three, and settled in Eldora. She married Edward Ruxton March 14, 1908 and leaves a husband, daughter, parents, sisters Mrs Arthur Kuxton of Eldora and Mrs Andrew Kumruw of Hubbard, brother John Lettow of Radcliffe, with a late sister Martha and another sister Mrs Robt Todd. The notice includes a standard ownership statement for The Nardin County Ledger. Attending National Convention Legionnaires left from Ackley on a special train for Omaha.

The Twenty-second Annual meeting of the County Federation of Women's Clubs of Hardin County will be held in Union Indiana on Thursday October 15 1928. Two Arms Broken By Fall At Liscomb Farm Home
G W Burehan of Liscomb sustained fractures to both arms at the wrists after a ladder slipped while painting his farm home west of Liscomb on Monday forenoon. He was taken to Marshalltown where X rays confirmed the injuries and bones were set before he was brought back home that evening.
