Rockford team travels through heavy rain to face Eldora and loses 17 to 2 in a one sided affair. Gustrom and Peters lead for Rockford while Eldora’s pitching holds firm as the game ends with a decisive defeat.
Storms north of Hampton wash out over 4000 feet of M. & St. railway near Sheffield and nearly a fifth of a mile elsewhere. A tornado damaged Alexander, injuring two. Train Pryor from Marshalltown to Hampton injured, with heavy roof damage and hail. Local rainfall minimal though winds caused scattered harm across Mason City, Algona, and Eldora areas.
