Home Talent Show Impresses. Funds Support Education
A local home talent event staged by Mrs Hortense Truynolds at the Train Time School auditorium drew praise for its smooth performance of Snow White. Proceeds will aid the Woman's Club in aiding field trips for young students and funding future needs. Survivors include husband Thomas Gearhart and eight grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs Gearhart were held at the Congregational church. Remember, fashion notes advise choosing clothes that suit your body type rather than chasing trends.

Scouts Plan New Camp Near Here At Wildcat Site
The Central Iowa Boy Scout Council selected and arranged land for a lay or camp site near Kidova in Tama and Poweshiek counties. The Wildcat site, two miles north of Kidova at a state park, covers about 12 to 15 acres of wooded land 100 feet above the river and will host tents, a kitchen, and a dining hall plan for the camp. Leaders, survey work, and purchase details were discussed at an April meeting. The committee noted accessibility by auto, limited year facilities, and tentative staff for camp operations.
