J Clarence Whitehead of Providence Township was elected chairman of the Hardin County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation ASC committee at the annual convention of township delegates in Town Falls Monday. About 70 percent of eligible voters in the Eldora district cast ballots Monday to approve a $410,000 school bond. Final results showed 1,824 yes to 178 no, an 88 percent majority, with 1,502 votes cast by turnout, a record for a school election.
