Services Tuesday For Ida Glen Bachman
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Methodist Church in Albion for Ida Glen Bachman 65 who died Saturday at Vidora Community Hospital. Biersborn Funeral Home of Union handled arrangements. Interment was in Benson Cemetery near Whitten. Born May 22 1896 in Greencastle Missouri to John and Effie Bachman, he grew up in Union and Whitten area. He married Charity Long on June 10 1953 and lived in Albion 13 years, retiring from Fisher Company in Marshalltown in May 197?. Survivors include his wife two daughters from a former marriage Colleen Harmon of Albion and Kay Aon iowry of Marshalltown six grandchildren two great grandchildren one sister Ruth Istler of Albion and two brothers Ross and Alf.

Training School Escapee Returned by Boone Police
A 16 year old youth was returned to the Iowa Training School for Boys in Boone after being apprehended by Boone Police early Monday. He ran away Sunday evening and may have stolen a 1971 Ford Maverick owned by Dr. R R Griffe l of Eldora. The car was found abandoned near where he was picked up.

Judgments Awarded In District Court
Judge Mark McCormick awarded three judgments in Hardin County District Court on Monday. Leroy Rousselow received 4056.49 from Norma Miller and Arthur Miller of Ackley on a promissory note. The McFarland Clinic in Ames was awarded 1076.04 from Ernest and Waneta Dudley of Union for services and supplies. American Cyanamid Company secured a judgment against Leland Ricks of Hubbard for 6.37 for goods bought from the plaintiff.

A women’s physical fitness class starts in Eldora on Wednesday October 27 under adult education director Glenn Minders. Dennis Stickney will instruct the ten Wednesday sessions from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Town Training School for Boys gym. Al Bell To Present Hong Kong Program in Eldora
World traveler Al Bell and his wife will present a Hong Kong program in Eldora Public School during their annual visit. They will show talks, films, native costumes, and country artifacts across two sessions in the Eldora High School gym. Elementary students pay 10 cents, junior high 20 cents, high school 25 cents.

Eldora Woman Receives ARC Grant Scholarship
Debra Maas of rural Eldora received the Scholarship Motivation Grant of $100 from the Iowa Association for Retarded Children funded by state wide efforts. The grant supports the "Honey Sunday" project by the Jaycees of Iowa.
