Wealth of Iowa Lies in ChildrenExpert Tells Home School
Dr. Ray Bryan head of vocational guidance at Iowa State College addressed the Home-School Association about the child as Iowa’s enduring crop. He outlined four school duties: help the child live with himself and with others, build activity, and instill habits for physical and mental fitness. He warned modern homes lack chores, leaving schools to provide character and work habits while emphasizing belonging, affection, values, and personal worth. The meeting included a vocal trio, a coffee hour, and the formation of a Legislative and Building Program Committee.
