Mary Folkerts of Steamboat Rock won the door prize at a recent exposition held in the new vocational-technical center at Marshalltown Community College of Merged Area VI. Exhibitors from the voc tech departments and outside concerns showcased programs over November 1 and 2 to more than 1,200 attendees.

KRNT to Carry All-State High School Concert
KRNT TV will air a video taped presentation of the 25th Town State High School Music Festival highlights Sunday November 28 from 8 30 to 9 30 pm The concert was held Saturday November 27 at KRNT Theatre in Des Moines Iowa and features over 1000 top high school performers from across the state.

Environmental tour of Hardin County Monday
An environmental tour of Hardin County organized by the Soil Conservation Service of Eldora and sponsored by the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service of Iowa Falls the Soil Conservation District and SCS drew 37 participants. District Conservationist Dick Bassett said the goal was to view and understand on-site conservation practices to improve the environment across 11 visited sites with federal cost sharing involved.

A county tour showcased conservation work funded by the Rural Environmental Assistance Program.
