Lutheran Mary and Martha Circle Meeting Notes
Thirteen members attended the Lutheran Mary and Martha Circle meeting at Mrs. Daleske’s home. Officers were elected, lessons from Amos discussed, and lap robes sewn. Next gathering a gift swap and a Christmas party were planned with hostesses and venues noted.
Dance Saturday At P. L. Country Club
Ron and the Blue Notes provide music for dancing Saturday evening November 1 at Pine Lake Country Club. Three people were initiated into the Business and Professional Women's Club Tuesday evening at Blanche and Fihe's Tea Room dining meeting. Initiated were Mrs. Ron Winters Judy Bentley and Mrs Kenneth Wafcutt. Twenty nine members answered roll call. Talks were given by attendance contest chairs Mrs Shelby Clemons and Mrs Erva Cobb. Fruitcakes will be sold by club members. Mrs Ralph Allbee is committee chairman. Hostesses were Mrs Robert Fuller Mrs Ron Winters and Mrs James McLean.

Mrs. K D Luhman hosted a dinner Friday November 11 honoring her mother Helena Luhman of Eldora. Attendees included Mrs. Helena Luhman, L E Kausischke and Doris, Paul Sievert, Dewey Eller, all of Eldora or Hubbard, with guests present. The Lutheran Study Guild met in the Was on home for its November session with devotions led by Mrs. John Zimmermann and a Bible study on Amos. Funds for Indian church work were approved for Rev. Arnold Lutz and teacher Robert Granner. Christmas gifts were authorized for the Lutz and Granner families. Officers for the coming year were elected: Mrs. Harold Kulow, president. Meta Balvanz, vice president. Mrs. Zimmermann, secretary. Mrs. Miller, treasurer. The December 20 meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. in Mrs. Haroki Kulow’s home.

Ceramics Program Presented At American Home II Meeting
A ceramics program was presented by Mrs. Olin Farley at the American Home II meeting held in the Farley home Tuesday evening. Each member crafted a ceramic piece as social hour refreshments were served with Mrs. Robert Farmer assisting. The December 13 meeting will be at Mrs. J. W. Winger's home. Captains named for Pine Lake Pearls weight loss contest are Leo Hughes and Zora Murphy. The group met at the Farm Bureau Building. a $5 Christmas gift will go to the best loser. A light diet lunch concluded the session. Owasa Methodist Church announces morning worship at 10 a.m. Pastor Dewey Lamprecht will lead. Bible Study Hour is at 11 a.m. The W.S.C.B. will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. The Good News Quartet from Holland, Iowa, will perform spiritual music at the Owasa church Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Extension Council Elections Set for Hardin County
The Hardin County Agricultural Extension Council has scheduled township representative elections for two year terms beginning January 1 1967. Alden township voters meet December 8 at 8 p.m. at Alden school. Eldora township gathers November 19 at 8 p.m. at Farm Bureau Building. Pleasant township votes November 19 at 6 p.m. at Roughwoods Hall. Union township voters meet December 5 at 8 p.m. at Union school.
