Minneapolis callers visited the Don Perkins home Sunday afternoon en route to Florida for the winter. Nearby Eldora hosted a meat cooking demo at Mrs. Jackie Macy with a noon potluck. Nashua saw Mr. and Mrs. August Schluter hosting dinner guests. Keith and Martyn McCormick claimed third prize at the Hallowe en carnival while Nancy and Ronda Cowell won first prize as bride and bridegroom.

Lawn Hill Ladies Aid Bazaar Prep and Visits

The Lawn Hill Ladies Aid met with 23 members and one visitor to plan fancy work and aprons for the bazaar. Social visits included Deanna Sue Brady of Cedar Rapids staying with Floyd Heasley and others visiting at Reece, Blair, and Beasley homes. Local events noted include light fixtures at the Lown church and a display of two oil paintings in Eldora during art week.
