A college sociology class at Simpson College in Indianola asks delegates to estimate years for major future events. Questions cover a cashless society, widespread home automation, universal guaranteed income, credit card use only, and universal artificial organs. The exercise invites varied opinions on timing.
Six new court cases were docketed in Hardin County District Court. Carl Ervin Myers of Eldora faces charges of marijuana seed possession and larceny in the nighttime. Scot Eugene Horner Micheal Roe and David Caseball are charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Michael Vieth of Iowa Falls is charged with driving while license suspended. Ronald Aswegan and Cheryl Schroeder, both ages mid-twenties, secured a marriage license in Eldora.
In Hardin County District Court Michael Kienal and Carl Kienal sue Robert L. Robertson for 335000 in damages after a dog attacked a motorcycle rider June 29 1973 near Alden. The boy suffered cerebral concussion burns and multiple injuries with $50000 claimed for pain and suffering and $5000 for medical expenses.
Roger E. Langfritz of Eldora files in Hardin County District Court to regain possession of 1242 14th Avenue apartment from Joan G. Cross. Oral lease set $75 monthly. rent due since November 1, 1974. Three day notice served May 7, 1975. Defendant remains in possession. Hearing requested to adjudge forcible entry and detainer and restore possession.
Funeral services for Carroll K. Mulford 61 son of the late Mr and Mrs M M Mulford of Fldora were held Thursday May 29 at Kremer s Funeral Home in Omaha with interment in Evergreen Cemetery He died Sunday after a two year illness He was married to Mary Ellen Kauffman of Union Survivors include his wife one daughter and son in law Lown Moch of Omaha four grandchildren two sisters Julia Mulford and Mrs Rena Victor of Ackley
A public information meeting for the Union Watershed Flood Prevention Project will be held at Union city hall at 7 30 p m on Wednesday June 4. Representatives of the Soil Conservation Service will discuss the problem and possible solutions and gather local needs. The town sponsors include Union and Hardin.
Area students were among 2,400 at the University of Iowa commencement in Iowa City on Saturday May 17. Eldora residents Mary Louise Ruhnke Peet Susan Lynne Foster Duane Ray Meyer Bonnie L County Board of Supervisors and the Hardin Soil Conservation District Grantow Andrew Van Tiger Hauser John Buck Willmore of Hubbard David Keith Faust Miles Lee Mitchell Sarah Marie Kuhfus James Earl Greenwood Roger Nissly and Cindy Everman are named among graduates and licensees with degrees including BA BS MS MD and BBA in various fields.
