Resealing of corn storage loans advised by county official
The problem and that considerable county index rescaling is discussed by the county chairman who notes that weather and crop conditions affect delivery time. He explains that government loans cover up to 90 percent of crib and bin costs, carry 4 percent interest, repayable in four annual installments. The cost of storage facilities completed by Jan 1 1957 can be tax deducted over five years, and resealing does not require delivery to earn storage pay. Farmers may redeem early for pro rated payments. resealing preserves title and helps guard against shortages while allowing potential price gains.
