Steamboat Rock School History and Consolidation Milestone
The northeast corner site became a gymnasium as the old building evolved from a general store and theater to a modern school. A 1928 bond of 50000 funded a new school, completed by fall, with horse-drawn then motor buses for rural transport. The district added Clay numbers 1 2 5 and part of Jackson, strengthening community ties through athletics music drama and civic service.
