In a light nonpresidential primary in Hardin County Thomas H. Kruse Cleves Republican and Leo Knight Town Falls Democrat won their party nominations for County Supervisor. Total voters 1,746, down from 2,364 in 1966 and 4,141 in 1968 presidential year. Knight edged Leonard Ites. Kruse led over Skeet Preston. GOP outvoted Dems 1,215 to 531. The 1970 Pioneer Day Parade in Eldora will feature an open pit barbecue and street dance on June 26 with free sandwiches for viewers and participants.
