Memorial Services at Eldora Training School
Memorial Day services were held at Eldora Training School for Boys in Eldora. The ceremony began at 9 am with Eldora VFW Veterans conducting a gun salute at the campus cemetery. Rev. Kurt Marquart of Steamboat Rock’s First Baptist Church gave an address. The cemetery holds 37 graves, most of them victims of the 1918 Spanish influenza epidemic.
