Little League All Stars and Babe Ruthers Split Doubleheader
The Lil Stars and Babe Ruthers won a doubleheader from Hubbard Wednesday on the local diamond after splitting with Ahlon-Whitten Monday. Hubbard Little Leaguers plated four in the first inning. Eldora’s pitching by Roger Adams limited them to one more run. Adams went 2-for-3 with two runs. teammates including Grantow, Zielske, Glasgow, Clemons and Hassman collected hits. In the Babe Ruthers win, Eldora’s bats produced 12 hits led by Gast, Brown, Rigert, and Heard. Monday’s split saw the All Stars beat UW 4-3 while Babe Ruthers fell 4-1. Alden hosts Friday. The first shipment arrives in August with space set aside for the collection. patrons can request unavailable titles by phone for rapid delivery. Books rotate quarterly, with outgoing volumes returned on schedule.

New Providence School Board Sets Second Budget Hearing
The New Providence Community School Board of Education will hold its second public hearing on the 1970 71 budget Monday July 27 at the schoolhouse in New Providence at 3 pm. The first estimate listed 288 960 and the second 292 510 with tax levies of 157 934 and 181 566 respectively. A slight error in the first estimate prompted the second publication and hearing per board president Harold Marsh.

Col Wilbur J Sage retires after 32 years with the Army receiving a second Legion of Merit from Lt Gen Harry H Critz. Two Vehicles Sideswipe Near Radcliffe Causes Damages
On Wednesday at 8 15 p m two Radcliffe drivers Michael J Klug and Noble M Johnson collided on a gravel road about three miles southeast of Radcliffe. Klug's 1965 Pontiac sustained 500 to 200 dollars damage while Johnson's 1965 Ford suffered 300 dollars in damage.
