V F W and Central States battled to a nine inning 2 2 tie Tuesday night in the local softball chase. Wally's gained their second win of the season by a forfeit from Leuthold's. Don Crippen doubled for V F W in the fifth, Bob Krejci homered for Central States in the sixth, and Dick Protheroe doubled for V F W in the seventh. The game may be replayed or continued later as managers decide.

Clemons defeated Webster City 10-8 after a span of errors favored the winners. Training School beat Conrad 4-2 as Haladay allowed one hit in relief.
