The Hardin County Republican Women’s Club will convene at 2 pm on Monday July 14 at Honey Creek Church near New Providence. Hostesses are Mrs Barl Reece Mrs Blanche Cook and Mrs Paul Walter. Services Held For Geo. Baker

Memorial services for George H. Baker were conducted at Longenecker funeral home in Eldora on Saturday. Rev. Charles Albin officiated with Mrs. Leo Hogle as vocalist and Mrs. Kenneth Cakerie as organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. J. C. Smith and Mrs. Oscar Slifer. Pallbearers included John Cakerlee, Verne Reece, Robert Division, John Baker, Donald Rosine, and Judson Freed. Burial followed at Eldora Cemetery with graveside rites by Walter Laver Post 182 American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survived by wife, one daughter Mrs. Dean Davison of Eldora, and two grandchildren.

Contest Losers To Be Hosts To Winners July 17

The losers at a recent membership contest at St. John's Mission Circle will host the winners at a special pot-luck dinner Thursday July 17 at noon. Mrs. Oren Dreler of Hubbard is president. After the dinner the group will attend to monthly business. Ruth Tapp opens with devotion. Pastor Schultz continues his series on American Churches beliefs and practices. In bad weather the meeting moves to Town Hall.
