Open House for 50th Wedding Anniversary of John and Marie Gast
Social event weekend honors John Gast and wife Marie with 200 guests from multiple towns. Family hosts include Melvin Hoff man, Roger Gast, Maurice Gast, and Dallas Gast. Guests traveled from Iowa and beyond to view wedding mementos, lace heirloom, and photos. The Peshins and son Gene were guests Sunday at the home of Nancy's parents Mr and Mrs William Tintjer Jr. Janet Metzer 17 of Plainwell Mich was killed in an automobile crash Monday. Services set for April 4 pending brother’s arrival from Germany. E A Rosenberger Cedar Rapids spent weekend with Clyde Sheldon family. Carole Catlin was a supper guest. Lavern Maisel Brett and Mitch Hubbard were guests Sunday. Harmon family of Milwau kee Wis and Balvanz families from Iowa City and Cedar Rapids visited. Earl Harmon family from Milwaukee spent Monday and Tuesday with Mrs Harmon. Floyd Beasley’s for April 11 listed. Angie Walters is candidate for typical 4 girl. Becky Vigars gave an illustrated talk. Weekend guests travel and family visits across states
Hand their daughter and fata Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Babcock of Franklin Wisconsin were among dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Bachman Easter Sunday. The group visited relatives during the weekend. Dennis Felder man and family of Bellevue and Mr. and Mrs. A. Lavison were visitors in the Howard Pence home in Conrad Saturday afternoon. Glen Kurtz returned Friday from a five weeks trip to Florida Louisiana and Oklahoma. They visited daughter and family Mrs. W. R. Protheroe in Davenport and visited sister in Louisville. They were guests at Santa Rosa Shores Country Club Gulf Breeze Florida and toured the Everglades. They met a new great grandson at Don's home in Lafayette. They also visited son Don in Shreveport Louisiana and a grandson in Stillwater Oklahoma before returning home.
