Sophomores Win In Inter Class Tug of War Contest

Sophomores defeat Freshmen in a tug of war at Peak's pond, taking the east side first and finishing in about one and a half minutes. Seventeen sophomores vs fifteen freshmen, aided by juniors and seniors, with the event noted as the shortest contest since 1913 and the first to have two consecutive wins by one class. Hanover College graduate named Crawfordsville Y M C A boys secretary

Capehart of Jeffersonville chosen as Crawfordsville Y M C A boys secretary. He is a Hanover College graduate and current Chicago Y M C A secretary for boys work. Selection followed thorough vetting amid a strong field. he will assume duties mid September.

Degree of Bachelor of Music now offered at the school

The music department adds a five year Bachelor of Music degree with two study tracks voice and piano or voice and organ. Core courses include Psychology I Harmony I Counterpoint Analysis I and Ear Training. Four recitals are required and 196 hours of credit. Professor Alexander notes this places the department on par with larger schools.

Freshmen to Wear Green Caps on Campus This Year

Upper classes approve a committee chosen from three classes to select uniform green caps for freshmen and enforce wearing. The plan aims to boost school spirit and class unity, with R J Millis as chairman and I S Allison and B P Leeds as members. Caps expected within a week.

Dr Moffett Visits Hanover On Mission Work

Dr T C Moffett class of 90 Washington DC superintendent of American Indians Missions visited Hanover for a short time Monday. He is en route to Washington and directs work for several denominations under the Presbyterian board. The Interior Department regards him as a leading Indian affairs authority after a survey he completed of that field.
