Banquet for Council and Faculty Sets Year Plan
Student Council and Student Affairs Committee met at the Soda Bowl to outline the year goals. Dr George Zirkle welcomed attendees and explained council duties while Prof John Yarnelle detailed freshman orientation and cheerleader selection was assigned to Jeraldine Hooton. Nancy Austin and Olive Hopping led mixer plans and a movie event for tomorrow night in the Auditorium.

Lueders Visit Campus and Faculty Reception Held
Albuquerque residents Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lueders were on campus over the weekend. Mrs. Lueders is Judy Demaree, 46. UNM student Mr. Lueders, class of 1947, attended events with the new faculty. Faculty reception followed dinner hosted by President and Mrs. Parker and other staff at the New Men's Residence Hall. Jean Horner, a Vanderbilt junior majoring in English with journalism minor, has become the Alpha Omicron Pi representative at Hanover.
