About eighty guests, with speakers and college officials at a central table, heard Dr J H Barnard praise the effort and Dr W A Millis explain the need for larger endowment to sustain growth. Millis noted graduate reach and rising enrollments while stressing finance as the current challenge.

Hanover College trustees back a $125,000 two week campaign to fund new departments in Agriculture Forestry and Home Economics. If secured the departments would be installed and provide extensive programs from soils analysis to farm management and rural sociology.
