Hard Schedule in Foot Ball Announced by Manager Hufford

Manager Hufford and the Board of Athletic Managers schedule four big games to boost Hanover football. Key games include Wabash October 7 at O'ville and DePauw October 28 at G'castle with Rose Poly October 14 and Butler November 4 at Hanover. Georgetown may visit November 11. Franklin and Earlham dropped to fit upstate opponents. Herbert Barth visits for the Phi Delta Theta Banquet.

Plans For State Oratorical Complete

On Friday February 25 the annual State Oratorical contest will be held in Indianapolis at Central Christian Church starting at 730 pm. D R Sessions of DePauw University holds manuscripts since January 25 and will preside. A L Miyatovitch from Hanover Macedonia will deliver Serbia the Martyr Nation and is seen as a strong contender for first honors. The state winner will represent Indiana at Indiana University in the interstate contest.

Y M C A Launches One Hundred Percent Efficiency Campaign

The Young Men's Christian Association begins a drive titled One Hundred Percent Efficiency. In its first week the membership rose by sixty six and two thirds percent under the leadership of Ira B. Allison, chairman of the Membership Campaign Committee. Applications were reviewed at the association's regular meeting last Thursday evening.

Evans prize announced for inter-society contest

In Chapel, W. W. Evans of Walton Kentucky pledged twenty five dollars for the annual contest between Philalethian and Union Literary Societies to be held March twentieth. The prize will be divided with ten dollars to each winner in debate and oration and five dollars to the declaimer, ensuring all winners share.

Mass Meeting After Chapel Fridaysiders Sports Talk

An enthusiastic mass meeting was held Friday morning after chapel in Chapel Hall. A. V. Averitt, president of the Board of Athletic Managers, presided and called on Coach Rider, Manager Rogers, Captain W. J. Johnson, Culley, Hufford, Buddy James and Buddy Manaugh to discuss the upcoming basketball game with Moores Hill Friday night. Cheerleader Brett led a spirited yell practice.

Orchestra Appears In Cappell Chapel Debut

The College Orchestra performed in Chapel on Thursday, playing Lange’s Flower Song and Gillet’s Lion Du Bal. Director Prof. Alexander has built a capable ensemble and listeners noted solid music from the group. Members include W Herbert Gibbs and Paul B Terhune violins, E S Allison and Allen Montgomery cornets, C E Broddecker oboe, D C Cox cello, J W Reily trombone, and W C Culley piano.

Hanover Defeats Moores Hill Team Last Night

Hanover beat Moores Hill 26 to 17 in a hard fought game marked by rough play. Johnson Culley Grimsley and F James led Hanover while Carnes and Rockefeller stood out for Moores Hill. Referee Duncan oversaw a 20 minute halves contest with strong crowd support led by W Herbert Gibbs.
