Hanover loses 45 to 29 at Y M C A gym in Terre Haute after a long travel delay. Normal led early, Hanover rallied in the first half but faded in the second as fatigue and slow play hampered the Red and Blue. Next, Hanover faces Earlham in a key IA CS contest.
Wednesday night the college team defeated the high school squad 11 to 9 in a fast, closely fought match. Helen Tech led scoring with sharp shooting and tight defense while Verna Snyder Leone Clarke and Margaret Steinberger contributed key plays.
President Millis announced the gym will close until coal is secured for heating. All gym classes are dropped and home games are canceled including the February sixteenth Earlham game. Only classroom work continues as fuel supplies are prioritized.

Phi Gamma Delta’s Tau Chapter held an anniversary dance in the Alpha Delta Pi hall to honor its February 5, 1864 founding. Perry's Orchestra played a Hanover Moon waltz as guests John Luckett Albert Clapp Allan Montgomery Damon Good and B. W. Lewis Jr. enjoyed the themed decorations and royal-treat ambiance.
The Hanover College Orchestra formed last fall has grown efficient under Professor Alexander. The Saturday night Y M C A party featured exceptionally well rendered numbers loved by students who view the ensemble as a thriving student activity. Five pieces will join the Glee Club on its spring tour. The roster includes Hortense Meister, R W McNulty, Herbert Gibbs, Richard Schmidt, Carl Steveson, Helen Robertson, Albert Schierling, Henry Montgomery, Allan Montgomery.
