State Oratorical Contest Draws Seven Colleges
In Indianapolis last Friday seven colleges competed in the state oratorical contest. Levi T. Pennington of Earlham won first with The Evolution of World Peace. Notre Dame, DePauw, Butler, Wabash, Franklin, and Hanover followed in that order. Hanover contributed thirty five students to the event.

Pan-Hellenic Dance Set for February Twenty Second
Pan Hellenic dance committee approved plans for an annual function on February 22. J. E. Almond representing Phi Delta Theta was elected chairman with members B. F. Dearing Beta Theta Pi C. E. Moffett Phi Gamma Delta and E. M. Harrison Sigma Chi. The event will echo Washington's Birthday with patriotic decorations and a formal program.

Indoor track meet planned for athletic deficit fund
At the last meeting the Athletic Association formed a committee from the Senior Class to arrange an indoor track meet to benefit the deficit. The plan calls for competition among the three lower classes and the Academy as one class in regular indoor events after basketball season. Exact date to be announced later. many supporters traveled to Indianapolis returning over the weekend.

Town factions clash over Hanover Post Office move
Two groups in Hanover circulate petitions to move the Post Office about three blocks east from its current site. Residents recall the old building and its meeting yard while college students mainly on the east end receive mail, prompting debate and local signatures from influential residents. J. K.
