Grecian Ruins Speaker Monday Lecture on Archaeology
Mr. James D. Liakos, Athens native and renowned archaeologist, will present an illustrated lecture on Greek archaeology Monday December 14 during assembly. He has 25 years of study across Greece, Egypt, Nubia, Sudan, Asia Minor, Cyprus, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria and has lectured since 1954 for various groups.

Choir Plays Big Role In Christmas Activities
Hanover Presbyterian Church program led by Donald Morrison features scripture carols and hymns from plain song to contemporary. Christmas services at 4 30 and 8 00 p m on Sunday December 13 with a brass sextet, vocal numbers, and narrations. Choir also travels to Seymour Indiana to sing for Thompson Glass Dairy employees and performs on the quad at night.

Duplicate Bridge Tournament Planned for Hanover
A subcommittee of the Recreation Committee announced a duplicate bridge tournament set for January 30, 1965 in Long Gymnasium. Open to students, faculty, and administrators, the event is sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League with trophies for top North-South and East-West pairs. The eighteen-deal competition uses the Standard Mitchell Movement and includes a pre-tournament conference and entry deadline.

University rush plans run January 3 through 7 for sororities and January 3 through 10 for fraternities with Deans of Men and Women, IFC, and Panhellenic supervising. Mental Health Club Recognized on Hanover Campus
December 2 Hanover Student Senate recognized the Mental Health Club as a campus organization. Formerly a Senate committee, the club promotes mental health, raises care standards, and distributes information. Volunteers work at Cragmont or Muscatuck, performing therapy, beauty procedures, crafts, or chaplain rounds. A new phase allows Saturday or Sunday teaching sessions for mentally ill and retarded children.

Marine Team to Visit Hanover College for Marine Officers
A Marine officer selection team will visit Hanover College on December 14 and 15 to interview undergraduates and seniors seeking commissions in the U S Marine Corps after graduation. Headed by Captain Bruce M MacLaren, the team will be in the Soda Bowl and seeks high academic and physical standards, with emphasis on Marine Aviation eligibility. Women in junior and senior years will also be interviewed for the Marine Woman Officer Candidate Course.

The junior class under Mr. Donald Morrison and the College Choir stage a Thursday December 17 caroling event. Betas and Thetas depart at 9 15 pm to collect others with Blythe Phi Gams Phi Delts and Donner Annex joining directly. Women meet Donner Hall men Crowe Hall at 9 25 pm and walk to Parker Auditorium, caroling to begin about 9 35 pm with students returning to living units after.
