Roseland Mayor seeks state aid for Karts International facility
Roseland Mayor Jerry Ellzey asked the Town Council for state help to fund the Karts International project in Roseland, which would create over 100 jobs. The state has approved 300000 for a facility but funds won’t arrive until August, challenging a July 1 construction deadline due to the Karts Polaris merger. Ellzey plans to meet Gov. Foster to accelerate the budget process and obtain earlier funding. He also noted Waste Management bills, totaling about 160000 unpaid when he took office in 1997, remain the town’s last obligations.
