Walgreens opens its new store at 113 North Morrison Boulevard with an 8 am Wednesday grand opening. Manager Don Hetrick notes a redesigned interior including a waiting area near the pharmacy, softer colors and clearer signs. The cosmetics bar is a freestanding lighted display and the Intercom system links all pharmacy departments for records and prescriptions. Walgreens runs about 1,700 stores in 29 states and Puerto Rico.
