In a Toronto interview last week President MacKenzie denied talks for Grand Trunk to purchase the Canadian Northern. He predicted coast to coast service within six years and noted the line’s strong performance with no outside stock ownership by Americans.

The town celebrates reopenings and upgrades including a new boarding house, a mill and town services. A grand Foresters Hall opening is set for Tuesday November 8 with a neck and banquet followed by a Friday ball. A quiet wedding united Maud Cox and J B Ross at the Cox home on November 12.
Mrs England visits Min nedos. Two inch snow falls last Friday as sleigh bells resound in the streets. Two stores report good business led by Hodnett and Mc Gillivray Co. Grain trade remains steady with J B Ross marrying last Wednesday. A second grain buyer hints at upcoming news.
Miss Yeandle of Birtle visits town to see friends. J J Shraege, new merchant, visited Winnipeg last week. Jos Selwood has been absent in Winnipeg and Brandon for the past week.
The Hareld Nelson Company led by Mr T E B Cornyn presents Mr Harold Nelson and his fifteen member company for a three night engagement with a Saturday matinee from Thursday November 27th to Saturday November 30th. Critics praise his Shakespearean range and dramatic voice. Prices are 50 and 75 cents opening with Ingomar the Barbarian.
