Festival Time to Feature Poetry Drama and Dance
The fall Festival at Strathclair will run November 3 and 4 and include spoken poetry drama group reading original poetry public speaking folk and square dancing and gymnastics. Adjudicators are Linda McDowell of Winnipeg and Dorothy Sangster of Killarney. Attendance is expected to be high for students to enjoy the events.

Bridal Shower Honors Barb Smith for Sept wedding
On September 17 at Myra Preston's home a bridal shower celebrated Barb Smith ahead of her September 24 marriage to Ian Anderson. 43 guests signed the guest book while corsages, chair escorts, and a nurse dressed helper added festive details. Anita Allan read the address and gifts were presented. Theresa Rothielle and Kenny Kirk participated in costumes. Pearl Kidd led two contests and a bountiful lunch ended the evening.
