Council backs Virden bid for 2000 Summer Games
Rural Municipality of Minsota Council on Sept 8 voted to support Virden in hosting the 2000 M.T.S. Manitoba Summer Games. The meeting also approved a retainer for the Dogcatcher from Aug 20, 1998, to Aug 19, 1999, plus mileage and per call time, plus court time. The 1983 council portrait will be enlarged for the Municipal Board Room. Vern Rollo, Brad Bryant and Dean Bryant will attend the Snow Plow Operator Training Course in Brandon on Oct 9 with registration and mileage paid.
