Auction to support Heritage Arts Centre project in Hamiota
The Mid-West Arts Council continues fundraising to transform the old bank building in Hamiota into the Heritage Arts Centre. The upcoming auction on Friday October 9 at the Hamiota and District Sports Complex expands items beyond antiques. Donations of furniture, jewelry, china, toys, and other items are sought with curbside pickups September 14 and 21 and drop offs at the Heritage Arts Centre. Beneficiary funding includes a $16 000 Manitoba Heritage Fund grant toward Phase One. Phase Two requires about $30 000 for heating replacement. Community and municipal support from Blanshard Woodworth Miniota Hamiota and the Town of Hamiota underscores the effort.
