Manitoba Chamber of Commerce manager Bater announced Hamiota will host an invitational seminar October 18 at the Fraternal Hall. About 50 C of C members from Shoal Lake Rivers Minnedota Virden Strathclair Birtle and Kenton are expected to attend. Registration is three dollars plus lunch extra.

A church basement shower on September 2 honored Donna Waddell, bride elect of September 4. Guests admired yellow net decorations and two flowered hearts with D and J initials. Twins Celebrate 80th Birthday in Cardale Orange Hall
Sunday September 12 saw a Come and Go tea in Orange Hall honoring twin brothers Bill and Fred McCormick of Cardale Brandon for their 80th birthday. 118 guests signed guest books with Audrey McCormick Ian Broom and Lawrence Allen in charge. Serviteurs included the Allen boys Judy Joyce Espey Elaine Graham and Lois Allan. A cold turkey supper followed for about 75 relatives and close friends. The table featured two decorated cakes from the immediate family and from sisters Annie Denni son and Martha Snowden of B.C.
