Surprise party honors Crawford couple at home three
Corporal George Crawford and his wife were guests of honor at an unannounced Friday evening party hosted by friends and neighbors in their new Russell Manitoba home. Mrs P Robinson spoke, Mrs King and Mrs Edwards gave gifts, Crawford responded for the family, and guests enjoyed games and a lunch. After five and a half years in Hiamiota he has been transferred to Russell.

W A and W M S Hold Meeting and Plan October Rally
In Lavinia the W A and W M S met in the church with Mrs L McConnell and Mrs C Shaw presiding. They arranged a supper for the W M S Rally in October and set a rule that each group provide three items for the Fowl Supper program. The October meeting will be held in the church with the Anniversary and Fowl Supper slated for October 24 and 26.
