Obituary: Alexander Lynn Ferris of Chummah District
A memorial service was held in McConnell's Chapel Hamiota on Saturday August 23 at 2 pm for Alexander Lynn Ferris 72 Chumah district farmer who died August 19 in Hamiota Hospital after years of ill health. He was born in Auntria Ireland and came to Canada in 1910. He is survived by his wife one son and three daughters with seven grandchildren. Burial in the family plot at Hamiota. Pallbearers listed. Flower bearers named.

Wallace Daniel Berwick died September 4 at Hamiota Hospital. Born June 23, 1879 in Bury Quebec, he moved to Manitoba and led the Miniota Telephone System until his 1952 retirement. He was active in Masonic and IOOF lodges, curled, and served in local affairs. Survived by wife Doris Peel and relatives in Miniota and Foxwarren. Funeral held at Miniota United Church. Masonic rites at the graveside.
