The weather hindered threshing all week with persistent rain delaying operations. Thomas Colbeck managed a few loads to the Ogilvie Elevator, selling No. 1 Northern wheat. He estimates the crop will yield about 25 bushels per acre based on what he has threshed.
OAK RIVER visits from Brandon as Mrs J Sinclair Laughton and Miss Currie spend time in town. Vaughan recovers and returns to Estevan bank work. Moose Jaw visitor Mrs Craig visits. Elevators to operate this year. J Armstrong to run the Dominion. W K Young Ogilvies, Brown Bros Winnipeg, Joe Rolston Northern. Wm Miller buys a 30 hp threshing outfit. Reeve Cochrane receives a horse from the Canadian National Bureau of Breeding for army remounts. Original owner of Vance Guard reportedly refused 6000. He will stay with R C Cochrane for 4–5 years at age three.
