Blue Cross announces tour package travel health plan in Manitoba

Blue Cross Manitoba unveils a new Tour Package Plan effective immediately for tours and cruises up to 30 days. The plan adds travel health, trip cancellation, accidental death and dismemberment, and coverage to air flights and common carrier while traveling. Deluxe Travel Health Plans introduced as Blue Gold and Silver with age based rates and a medical questionnaire for over 60s.

New Weather Service Aims to Cut Farm Smoke Problems

Manitoba farmers may burn windrows after harvest, but Environment Canada and Manitoba Agriculture offer a trial weather and smoke dispersion service. Begun August 20, it provides wind data and smoke forecasts for the Red River Region via Weatheradio and local phone lines, with reports also shared to radio stations.
