Kenneth Morton Lewis obituary at St. David's by the Sea
Kenneth Morton Lewis aged 67, a Cordova Bay church worker and former bank pensioner, died suddenly at 5077 Cordova Bay Road. He served as first vicar's warden at St. David's-by-the-Sea and first Sunday school superintendent, with prior bank management in Saskatchewan. Funeral services were held at St. David's by the Sea after a cortege from Hayward's funeral home.

Hamiota Film Council Sees Low Interest For Winter Screenings
The Hamiota Film Council shifts regular National Film Board screenings to Monday, November 4 at 8 p.m. in the Community Room. Films include Eye Witness No 822 The Spruce Boy Picture Making By Teenagers and Appointment With Youth. A meeting will discuss future plans as interest seems weak. A concert and auction to support The Children's Aid Society of Western Manitoba will be held Friday November 1 at 4 p.m. in the Community Room. everyone is invited.

Mrs David Henderson dies after long Scotia district life
Old time neighbours gather at Crandall United Church to bid farewell to Mrs David Henderson who lived in Scotia district since childhood. Born 1877 in Georgetown Ontario she moved west at seven, married 1896, and farmed here with husband until his 1946 death. Survived by son Nelson three daughters nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Rev Moffat presided as floral tributes spoke to her community service.
