The Hamiota Senior Choir held its annual meeting on October 17 at the Ted Green home. New executive named with Bob Hedley as president and Glennis Asselstine as secretary treasurer. Community thanks and awards noted. old gowns donated to Lavinia and Arrow River Churches. Initiation ceremony for Canadian Girls In Training added, six new members joined. World Friendship Rally and Hallows Eve event planned for October 26 at the church.

The Afternoon Auxiliary met October 15 in the church parlor with Mrs Ward presiding. Treasurers report showed a year decline while 503 books read to date were noted. Mrs Wamsley of McConnell spoke on thanksgiving and a Ladies quartet sang. The Evening Auxiliary met October 8, honoring two Life Members, Mrs Caldwell and Mrs Coombs, with a home education film by Dr Hudson and a social lunch to end.
