Hamiota Welcomes Wil-Kraft Kabinets Relocation
Hamiota officials unveil that Wil-Kraft Kabinets will relocate to Hamiota, moving from Crandall to a 6,000 square foot site in the Hamiota Industrial Park. The Gardhams plan to start construction in spring and begin manufacturing by fall, creating up to four new full time jobs and boosting local employment. The move follows strong support from the RM and Village councils and the HEDC.

Pedal Power at Hamiota Trade Fair Yields Third Place
Rosalie Beamish drove her John Deere to third in the ladies pedal power tractor pull at the Hamiota Trade Fair Sports Complex on Oct 14 and 15. Fifty-three children and 19 adults competed in the fun event as the fair drew over 50 exhibitors and 600 spectators. fuller details appear on page 2.

RCMP to stricten enforcement on double lines and belt laws
Hamiota RCMP will issue tickets under the Manitoba Highway Traffic Act for crossing solid double lines to park and for seat belt violations. Cpl. Gerry Poole notes past leniency ended after complaints of dangerous parking and backing across lines. Spot belt checks will run in coming weeks with fines of 66 for child restraints and 27 for adults.
