New Doctor Joins Staff At Hamiota Health Centre

Dr Steven Lonsdale has joined the Hamiota District Health Centre staff with wife Finnuala and children Richard and Shannon arriving Aug 31 from Goose Bay Labrador after a 20 month stay. He trained in South Africa, practiced in Durban since 1992, and moved to Canada recently.

Prairie farmers seek Ottawa support from Manitoba Saskatchewan delegation

A Manitoba Saskatchewan delegation will press the federal government in Ottawa on Oct 28 29 for 300 million in emergency aid for prairie farmers.
