Hamiota Lions Club Opens Semi Monthly Bingo Nights
The Hamiota Lions Club begins a series of semi monthly cash bingo games on October 8 at the Hamiota Theatre. Five dollar games winners listed include D Drader K Curll and several others. The $25 game rolled over to $40 after no winner. Next bingo night is Wednesday October 22 at 8 PM. admission is $1.00.

John Charles Brooks Obituary In Hamiota Area
John Charles Brooks died September 16 1958 at Hamiota Hospital after sixty three years in the Hamiota and Decker districts. Born in Hamilton Ontario April 26 1877 he farmed in Decker and was a trustee of Ethel School and member of Orwald Church and Odd Fellows. Survived by wife Margaret two sons Robert and George and daughter Margaret with two brothers and three grandchildren. Funeral September 18 at Hamiota United Church with interment at Hams ta cemetery.
