Members gathered at president Jean Watsons home on September 26 with six members and three visitors. A Children’s Hospital Book Mart report showed a spring sale total of 17059610 with 14000000 designated to Children’s Hospital Research Foundation. Sixteen cards were sent to members, 4 H reorganized with 27 or 28 members, and October canvassing planned for Child and Family Services. Environment report urged recycling and composting, marigolds cited for pest control, and tea at Vi and Steve Lesack’s hosted 90 guests. Babies clinic scheduled October 26 for dogs and cats, Group II to plan October 20 craft sale lunch. Ann Patterson cited regional meeting notes. our WI twin is Erickson. Conventions set for April 3 at Oak River and October 23 fall seminar at Lenore. next meeting October 24 at Ann Patterson’s with Alzheimer’s program. Guest Sarah Hoyle from Bylchau WI in North Wales spoke of their 75th anniversary and market style sales. Athletics contests among groups noted. hostess provided lunch.
