Government GST guidance angers consumers and clubs
The 3.3 million member Canadian Automobile Association says federal guidance on GST is contradictory and burdens businesses. Some rules imply no collection before Jan 1 1991, others warn of tax on services delivered after Jan 1. CAA urges a clear signal to forgive early collection or warn consumers plainly. The CAA federation represents provincial auto clubs across Canada.
