Women’s Institute Meeting at McConnell Home
The WI met at Mrs. Phyllis Mc Connell’s home on September 22 with nine members. They opened with the WI Creed, reviewed June minutes, and the treasurer’s report. They ordered one Cook Book from Fisher Branch WI, planned a snapshot fundraiser, and approved donations to Mr Bill Thompson for Fat Stock Booth drinks and to Hamiota Hospital Cart. New recipes were shared in Roll Call. raffle winners were Mrs Inza Pollock and Mrs Pangman, with Mrs Olive Newton also winning.

Cardale Couple Honored on 25th Wedding Anniversary
A Saturday evening gathering at Mr. and Mrs. Alan Ried’s home honored Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Greenaway for their 25th wedding anniversary with 31 guests. Gifts included 25 silver dollars from Mrs. Greenaway’s family, a teapot with cream and sugar, two cups and saucers, two fruit cake tiers from nieces and nephews, and a corsage and boutonniere.

Shower Honors Miss Glenda Badger Bride Elect at Chumah Hall

Pedlows Celebrate Diamond Wedding in Hamiota District
Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Pedlow marked their Diamond Wedding on August 17 1970, with a family dinner at Salt Lake and a day of flowers gifts and greetings from 41 relatives. Born in 1888 and 1893 they have five children 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Integrity of the event and long residence in Hamiota were emphasized.
