Roblin Airport funding approved after letter confirms nearly a million
Roblin and the RM of Shell River receive formal funding for a new airport. A letter dated October 20 from former Transport Canada Minister Jean Corbeil confirms almost 1 million dollars after verbal approval in September. Miniota RM swears in reeve and council pre meeting
Before the RM of Miniota regular session Reeve Walker and Councillors Bell Milne Shier Clark Lee and Bryant took their oaths and filed asset declarations under the Municipal Council Conflict of Interest Act. Committee reports noted plans to lease a Morris Air Drill for 1994 and funding from the Green Plan. Subdivision approvals included Don Armitage and Doreen Charlton with conditions and a variation request for Miniota Equipment Sales Ltd. The RM endorsed the Central North American Trade Corridor Association and approved attending the Nov 18 joint meeting in Hamiota. A resolution supported continued lawful safe firearm use. An ad will run in local yearbooks. Appointments for 1993-94 were listed across several boards and committees.
