The Rural Municipality of Blanshard held its November 8 1989 regular meeting in Oak River with Reeve English and six councillors present. They added Edwin Fortune to Ward 6, set monthly meeting times, created committees, approved by laws, discussed a recycling depot and local policing, and approved numerous payments and notices including a nine hundred plus thousand dollar local improvements project. A second special meeting followed November 13 to review correspondence and support Sky Cable Inc for a wireless cable system.
