Short Shots: Canada curling reps and sports random notes
Frankly I wouldn t bet on Bobby Ursel or Russ Wookey making Canada s Olympic curling team due to nepotism concerns in the jury. Joey Vickery may be Manitoba s top basketball talent despite small size. CBC won t radio cover the Grey Cup. a play by play plan with 80 stations is listed, Bob Picken favored. Tretiak Hall of Fame bid backed by Ziegler and Eagleson. Tarasov enshrined, need company. Jets coach Dan Maloney likened to Toe Blake, Eskimos pink towels joke, and rugby injuries raise Commons questions. Time of Possession remains elusive. Ernie Whitt praised despite pay. Hal Sigurdson stays, Stefanson moves, and Sportsman s Corner nears.
