Miniota Council meets on Basic Planning Statement and budgets
A special Miniota Council session on October 29 1986 addressed the Basic Planning Statement and unfinished items. The meeting reviewed planning reports from Municipal Planning and the Environment Act while approving expenditures from the Fire Equipment Reserve for a 1983 Chev 4x4. Brian Long of Manitou stayed with his mother Laura Long and visited his father in Birch Lodge Hamiota. Grace McDonald’s transfer to Brandon General from Hamiota Hospital is followed by a return home in Hamiota delaying leg surgery. Proceeds from recent canvass benefit Canadian National Institute for the Blind 502.00 and Child and Family Services of Western Manitoba 487.50, with thanks to contributors and canvassers. Jean Cook and Russell Rollo have returned home from hospital. Sympathy to Barry Cornish and family on the death of Harry Cornish.
